I cant wait for the new Nascar season to start. This year will hopefully be the best racing yet. With all the new teams and sponsor’s you cant help but get excited. The one thing that will shake it up will be the Toyota’s this season. Its going to make the domestic car makers work harder to win races. Hopefully Chevy, ford,and dodge step it up and whoop all over Toyota because i don’t like the fact they let them come in to Nascar. Go Ford.
The first time I went to a Nascar race I was so excited I couldn’t sleep the night before. It seemed like it toke forever to get there but when I did it was awesome. The seats I had weren’t the best but I still was at a Nascar race. MIS is a huge track and never seeing a track that big was awesome.
It’s seems the Ford’s have a advantage at MIS. Every race that I’ve been to in the last six years a Ford has won the race. Even when it seems the Chevy’s are having a good day the one Ford seems to steal the show. Maybe it’s because it’s in ford country. But they always run good at MIS.
I just picked up The Test drive game for 360 and im obsessed with it now. You cruise around and race to win money and buy new cars and houses and upgrade your cars. It is a blast and i have racked about 50 hours into it in the last 4 days. I know i have gone to far but the game is just so much fun. Here is a video from youtube.
The chase for the Nextel cup this year has been expanded to 12 instead of the 10. Last year Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jeff Gordon missed the chase so there hoping that most of the big drivers can make the chase with a bigger field going for the Nextel cup. Hopefully it will be some good racing come time for the chase.
I always wonder what it’s like to travel 300 mph plus. Those guys get in those funny cars and go flying down those quarter miles like a Sunday drive. It’s like strapping a bomb on and having someone lite a fuse then watching you explode. There ain’t much to them cars but an engine and some sheet metal. You have to be half crazy to drive them things. I still think it would be fun to drive that fast at least once.
Dale Earnhardt is one of the greatest drivers of all time. He won 76 races in Winston cup and also won many races in the Busch series. The man won 7 Winston cups. The only other driver to do that is the king Richard Petty who also won 7 Winston cups. He finally conquered the Daytona 500 in 1998 and sadly that’s where he died a few years later at the same track that took him his whole career to win. He was the Intimidator.
If you have ever been to a Nascar race track like Michigan International Speedway then you know all to well how bad the traffic is getting out after the race. I think they should have people guiding people out of the track like they do when you first get to the track. The people are so rude when your trying to get out it’s not even funny. It takes hours just to leave the parking lot once your out it usually flows pretty good.
When ever you start to work on your car you should first make sure you have everything you need. Do you have a properly working jack, do you have jack stands? You don’t ever wont to get under a car that’s jacked up unless it’s first properly secure with jack stands because the car could fall and kill you. Also when it’s getting darker make sure you have proper lighting so you can see what your doing. Always disconnect the negative battery terminal when ever your working on anything electric or you could short out something out.
Do you ever wonder what to do when it gets cold out if your car will start? Well you should of made sure that the battery was good enough to make it thru the cold months. Also you should make sure your antifreeze has the right pH so it will not freeze when it really gets cold. Think about replacing your regular wiper blades with some winter wiper blades and don’t forget the washer solvent it comes in handing to get salt off the windows. Make sure you have good tires on your car so you don’t loose traction. One other important thing to have is an emergency road kit,blankets, and jumper cables in the trunk. Those are some good tips there are others but those should help out.
